About the Programme
The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) at Abdur Rahim College of Pharmacy is a two-year professional programme aimed at preparing teachers for the elementary stage of schooling. The programme focuses on developing understanding, attitudes and competencies required to teach children at the primary and upper primary levels in a child-friendly and activity-based manner.
Offered in line with NCTE regulations and the guidelines of the concerned authorities in West Bengal, the D.El.Ed programme combines theoretical courses, school experiences and practical work. It equips future elementary teachers to address the learning needs of young children, particularly in rural and semi-urban contexts, with sensitivity and commitment.
Eligibility:
10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Council, with minimum marks and other conditions as prescribed by NCTE and the competent authorities for admission to the D.El.Ed programme in West Bengal.
